This range of custom base flashings are made to suit the VELUX FCM, VCM, VCS range of skylights.

Unlike the name suggest the “flat roof range” can be installed on pitched roofs ranging from 0 – 60 degrees. In our opinion the Velux flat roof range is the easiest skylight to install across the Velux range, when installing with our pre fabricated custom base flashing.

What is a custom base flashing?

This is the flashing system which surrounds the skylight and connects it to the roof. The flashing is used as a way to ensure your skylight is waterproof.

Can I customise the flashing?

Pre fabricated or Flat pack?

Our pre-fabricated solution minimizes installation complexity, ensuring a leak-proof seal and a perfect fit with minimal effort. This comes pre-fabricated, ready to be installed directly out of the box, offering convenience and saving valuable time on the job site. On the other hand, our Flat Pack solution is designed for those who prefer a more hands-on approach. It provides all the necessary components in a compact package, allowing for a more economic shipping option for our interstate customers. While it requires a bit more time and effort to assemble, it's perfect for projects where the customer is looking to save some money by assembling it on-site, which also helps save on shipping costs.

Why Back Tray Flashing is a Must

Installing a back tray flashing is highly recommended for any skylight positioned on a roof pitch under 15 degrees. Its design effectively removes the section of roofing sheet behind the skylight. As a result, when rain hits the back tray, it seamlessly diverts water into the sheet pan on either side of the flashing, preventing any potential leaks. Read our blog for more information

What our bases are made from?

All base flashings are made from .55bmt colorbond steel, unlike other suppliers who use a powder coating process which fades and deteriorates over time. Our bases come standard with a 70x35 treated pine timber reveal, this is not to be removed. The timber reveal not only adds strength to the base flashing, enhancing its durability and stability, but also serves as a thermal break. This is crucial for improving the insulation properties of the skylight, critical for achieving the Velux performance rating.

We offer a two year manufactures warranty on all custom base flashings.
