Transit Insurance Policy

At The Skylight Warehouse, we prioritize the safe and secure delivery of your purchase. Given the fragile nature of glass skylights, we are keenly aware of the potential risks during transit. To safeguard your investments, we offer transit insurance on all orders, ensuring protection against unforeseen damage or loss during shipping.

Insurance Cost

Transit insurance is offered at the following rates, based on the total value of your order:

  • Orders up to $1,000: $40
  • Orders between $1,001 and $3,000: $80
  • Orders between $3,001 and $5,000: $130
  • Orders between $5,001 and $10,000+: $180

Coverage

Our transit insurance covers all products against damage or loss while in transit from our warehouse to the delivery address you specify. Coverage includes:

  • Damage: Protects against physical damage that compromises the skylight's functionality or aesthetics.
  • Loss: Covers instances where the product is not delivered within a reasonable period beyond the expected delivery date.

Terms & Conditions

  1. Activation: Insurance is optional but highly recommended. It can be added to your order during the checkout process.

  2. Mandatory Reporting: Damage or loss must be reported to The Skylight Warehouse within 48 hours of the delivery date. Evidence, such as photos or documentation of non-receipt, is required for claims.

  3. Claims Process: Verified claims will lead to the dispatch of a replacement product at no additional charge or a full refund.

  4. Exclusions: This policy does not cover issues post-delivery or resulting from customer mishandling or incorrect installation.

  5. Liability: Customers who opt out of transit insurance agree that The Skylight Warehouse cannot be held responsible for any damage or loss incurred during shipping. Without insurance, we are unable to offer returns, replacements, or refunds for such incidents.

Duration of Coverage

Coverage is effective from the moment items leave our warehouse until they are delivered to the address you have provided.
